Ty Anquer - catch up on 1st floor construction

A year has gone by, and lots has happened!

After the fire the builders put a rubber-like membrane to cover the first floor from the elements. Then, as they build the roof structure, it rained, as it does at times in Brittany, the rain flowed off the wooden planks, into the wall cavities that were not covered by this membrane... the water damage on the ground floor was almost worse than the water damage after the fire! Not happy - another 3-4 months of heaters blasting hot air trying to dry things out.. Anyway - that's in the past, redesigned 1st floor, 2 big bedrooms, a bathroom with a new dormer window letting in much more light and headroom..
